Primary Focus & Experience

Mr. Ostrzega’s practice focuses on the representation of debtors, statutory or official committees, creditors and other stakeholders in all aspects of reorganization cases, liquidation cases and out-of-court workouts.  His representations have included, among others:  NewPage Corporation (counsel to indenture trustee for first lien noteholders); The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc.  (counsel to official committee of unsecured creditors); DBSD North America, Inc. (counsel to ad hoc committee of senior noteholders); Boston Generating, Inc. (counsel to secured lenders); Lehman Brothers (counsel to official committee of unsecured creditors); and ProtoStar Ltd. (as chapter 11 debtors in possession).

Recognition & Accomplishments

Mr. Ostrzega received LL.B. and B.C.L. degrees with Distinction from McGill University’s Faculty of Law in 2009, where he was awarded the “Yoine Goldstein Book Prize” in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law.
