Joyce Lim is an associate in Cassels Brock’s Securities Group. She represents public companies on a range of financing transactions. Her experience also includes providing legal advice on general corporate and securities law matters such as corporate governance, continuous disclosure and other regulatory issues. Joyce is also a member of the firm’s China Mining Group.

Joyce’s experience includes:

  • Representing a number of public companies on multi-million dollar private placement financings
  • Representing a TSX Venture Exchange listed company on a $10 million bought deal financing

Joyce graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School where she obtained her Juris Doctor. During law school, she volunteered with the Community and Legal Aid Service Program (CLASP) and worked full-time as a division leader in the Immigration and Refugee Law division. She also served as a mentor for the Osgoode Mentorship Program and was a student editor for the Osgoode Hall German Law Journal.

Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Joyce articled at another major law firm in Toronto and interned at the Canada China Business Council.

Joyce is a member of Young Women in Law and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. She is also fluent in English and Mandarin.
