Mark grew up in Edmonton, Alberta but eventually moved to California for undergraduate studies at UCLA and then graduate studies in real estate development at USC. After working as the Acquisitions and Finance Manager at Community Dynamics, a nationally recognized workforce housing developer, Mark earned a law degree from the Fordham University School of Law in New York City.
Mark comes from a Ukrainian-Canadian family and spent his third year of legal studies at the Université Pantheon-Assas, Paris II, earning a LL.M. in European Union Law. Mark volunteered as an election observer in the 2014 Ukrainian presidential elections with the Organization for Cooperation and Security in Europe.
Mark’s practice at Simpson Thacher in New York is focused on private equity real estate transactions. Mark enjoys regularly visiting his family in Toronto, sailing, skiing and continually trying to improve his French and Ukrainian.
